Severe thunderstorms are forecast for certain areas. A slight risk of severe thunderstorms exists from the upper Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic coast. At least widely scattered severe storms are expected, accompanied by damaging gusts and possibly large hail.

More isolated severe storms are possible in other areas, including the North Dakota-Minnesota Red River Valley and the upper Midwest. These storms may be capable of large hail and damaging winds, particularly on Thursday afternoon and night.
