Tropical Storm Norbert is being monitored through satellite imagery. An AMSR-3 microwave pass and GOES-West Infrared satellite imagery show the low-level center of Norbert underneath the western side of its main convection. Moderate westerly wind shear is affecting the cyclone, pushing convection to the east of the center.

Despite the wind shear, gradual intensification is possible in the short term. Intensity estimates range from 35-40 kt, with the initial intensity held at 35 kt.

Further details on Tropical Storm Norbert's development and trajectory are available from the National Hurricane Center.
